Avalanche vs. Stars Game 2 odds, prediction

It took a while, but Colorado’s Avalanche overwhelmed the Dallas star in Game 1 of the Top 7 Series.

The stars were brave in their efforts to stick to AVS, but some bad bounces went behind the net, putting Dallas in chase mode.

That was the last place you want to oppose Colorado, and the avalanche made the stars pay for a 5-1 victory.

Dallas aims to climb the series on Monday night, but the odds maker has installed AVS as a -146 favorite in Game 2.

Avalanche vs. Stars Betting Preview

Colorado’s speed and skill was fully exhibited in Game 1, allowing AVS to expose the star’s blue line all night.

If Dallas made Milo Haikanen available, they would be much more likely to skate in AVS, but his absence puts a lot of pressure on Codycesi, Esarindel and Ilya Lyubschkin to fill in a big time.

These three may be effective in the right role, but they continue to struggle to slow down the big Colorado guns, rather than the most momentary foot.

The good news for the stars is that despite the problems skating in AVS, they produced a lot of looks in Game 1. Without Mackenzie Blackwood’s Colorado hero, the Saturday night contest would have looked completely different.

Avalanche vs. Star Pick

The star played a great game on Saturday night, but there was nothing to show that.

Dallas’ silver lining is what it was like to show that it could be skated in AVS, but the half-sky approach suggests that the stars have an A-game and are still lost at 5-1.

If AVS level up in Game 2, it’s hard to see the stars have the answer for AVS.
