Ernie Johnson corrects Shaq’s praise of Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns

Shaquille O’Neal looked really liked what the town of Karl Anthony did in Game 2 of the Knicks on Monday night.

His broadcast partner had to provide friendly reminders about how things actually fell with New York’s losses.

“He played like a real big guy tonight. I’m happy with the Cat,” O’Neill said during “inside the NBA” after the Pistons won.

The problem was not that town did not score points in the second half, and that he didn’t try a shot in a match where the Knicks scored a slow rally but fell 100-94.

Johnson reminded O’Neal of this information as the TNT show continued to air highlights of the game.

“Well, he did it in the first half,” Johnson responded to O’Neill’s “big man” comment. He didn’t score in the second half. ”

The basketball hall of fame was surprised and replied, “Ah, amazing.”

Towns finished with just 10 points, but this year, the third time they scored under 10 points in the game.

There was a response to O’Neal’s Towns Down Game The opposite pole of Stephen A. Smithhe took the Knicks big man on Tuesday morning to be appointed to ESPN’s “first take” and said he needed to do more to support Jalen Branson.

“Last night we lament that he doesn’t shoot at all,” Smith said. “Wait a second, you have to shoot! You take three shot attempts in the second half, you’ll be scoreless in the yard in the second half – facing the young, up-and-coming Detroit Pistons team.

“If there’s nothing else, you can set a few points. Do that,” Smith continued. “If you haven’t, you literally don’t serve your purpose.”

The sixth effort in his playoff career marked him unable to surpass the 10-point mark.

“We were doing what we said we wanted to do,” the town said. “Maybe you’re always hoping you’ll get one of those long rebounds, loose balls. It was what we got and they got those 50-50 balls. We didn’t get it today.
