But state legislator Jake Blumenkrantz couldn’t believe his ears – and he said he made an independent analysis in Mamdani’s speech. Blumenkrantz, a Republican from Long Island, filed a formal complaint to investigate whether Mamdani, who is in the state legislature, violated the campaign law.

“The first 10 seconds in Spanish ads show smoothness across frequencies that are not characteristic of natural speech,” Blumencraz’s analysis states.

“This audio in question may not be a natural human speech due to the lack of formant structure and limited pitch variation. This is especially obvious when compared to the authentic recording of Assembly Mandani’s voice.”

While civil servant candidates are permitted to use artificial intelligence technologies in campaign ads, state law requires that you issue a disclaimer or notice at the end of your ad.

Mamdani laughed at the accusation and transferred two minutes. “Spanish Advertising Blue Perpear Reel” He practices the language and tears as he tries to get his lines right.

“Only Long Island Republicans would think that something in New York is actually AI,” Mamdani said.

But Blumencranz said he was serious and filed a complaint with the state and city election commission over the office of state Attorney General Letitia James and the bilingual support.

“The ads in question, which aim to feature Mamdani, a lawmaker who delivers messages in Spanish, provide adequate indicators of digital change and speech synthesis generated by artificial intelligence.”

“This is not just a technique. If you actually manipulate the disclaimer, it’s a deception. It’s simple and simple. New Yorkers deserve the truth in elections. Taxpayers should not be forced to fund a campaign that misleads them,” said the Hicksville Republican.

Mamdani is running in the mayor’s busy June Democratic primary, voting second only to frontrunners and former government official Andrew Cuomo.

Although current Mayor Eric Adams plans to run as an independent general election, in New York’s deep blue city, the main Democratic winner is approaching November.

Mamdani has already received more than $6.6 million in public matching funds, with more expected in May.
