The Big Apple Mayoral Candidate Forum got ugly on Wednesday night for former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The dishonorable Pol, who resigned from the governor’s office in 2021 after numerous scandals, answered questions about public safety at the Democratic mayoral forum at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn.
The stunt elicits moans from the audience and continued for a while before the NYPD strangled the agitator and tried to escort him out of the building.
“Cuomo lies, people die,” protesters chanted as police intervened.
Another person cried out, “f-k you, cuomo!” in a confused scene.
Cuomo, 67, stayed on stage as protesters surrounded him.
City Hall frontrunners have dismissed the incident as a political theatre, resumed events and stopped having a constant “drama” in politics.
“They want to play a political game,” he said.
“That’s part of the problem with this system, right?
“I have been a health secretary, attorney general, governor, governor for 11 years. These issues are controversial and people have different opinions.
The former governor has been heavily criticized for his disastrous March 2020 decision to send infected Covid-19 patients to nursing homes during the worst period of the murderer pandemic.
Cuomo, who has long objected to allegations of sexual harassment by multiple women, has been accused of counting deaths in nursing homes up to 50%.
Harry Butler, who led the forum, denounced those who had otherwise interrupted sleepy events.
“One of the Democrats’ issues and issues that claim to be a big tent party is that if you don’t have a specific view, they’re going to shut you down,” Butler said.
“And when I see a bunch of young, white progressive types, I think it’s a disgrace (comes to our space). Tell us who we should vote for, we can think for ourselves, we are educated.”
