As part of President Trump’s operation, a Border Patrol team arrested 10 illegal aliens in Pomona, California on Tuesday at Take Back America. Nine of the illegal aliens arrested were found outside the Home Depostore. The arrests that sparked protests by immigration rights groups included one illegal alien convicted of accusations of arms and child abuse with serious physical injuries.
A small group of protesters appeared on Pomona’s Home Depot site within hours, informing them of the signs that read “Ice from Pomona.” The National Day Workers Organization Network (NDLON) posted a video on social media. Most media including Los Angeles Times The incident was reported as an Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation despite the presence of significant Border Patrol vehicles and unified Border Patrol agents.
The Ndlon Post explained the previous immigration enforcement action, saying, “Around 9am today, several vehicles were pulled at the entrances of both the Home Depot in Pomona City, at 2707 S Town Avenue. Workers, two additional vans rose up to take workers for 15-20 days that workers only knew at the Pomona Economic Opportunity Centre.
Los Angeles County superintendent Hilda Solis shared a statement expressing support for the alleged illegal alien arrested for immigration enforcement activities, saying, “This morning, my office was warned by community members of the federal homeland security presence in Pomona City. What was affected is receiving the support and resources needed.”
Solis continues, “This is still a developing situation, but I would like to reaffirm my unwavering commitment to ensuring that all residents are able to recognize and exercise their constitutional rights, regardless of the status of immigration.”
A spokesman for the Border Patrol El Centro Sector spoke to Breitbart Texas about the situation of an operation targeting certain illegal aliens who are subject to felony federal criminal warrants following deportation of less than 8 USC 1326.
A spokesman says an illegal foreigner targeting the operation was arrested as planned, and nine additional arrests were made after several men were noticed Tuesday morning in a home improvement parking lot in Pomona.
The nine collateral arrests included five Guatemalan citizens, one Mexican citizen and two El Salvador citizens, according to the Border Patrol. It turns out everything is illegally found in the United States.
A spokesman says that Guatemalan citizens exhibited deadly weapons and were found to have been convicted of a child abuse crime, causing serious physical injuries.
The Pomona Police Department quickly distanced itself from immigration enforcement action on Tuesday, saying in a Facebook post: “As a reminder, the Pomona Police Department is not carrying out immigration enforcement, which is a function of federal law enforcement. El Centro Sector’s Border Patrol agents carried out similar operations in January just before President Donald Trump took office, Breitbart Texas reported. The operation was seen by many as a warning of what will come after the new president takes office.
The agents launched a targeted internal enforcement business around the farming community in Bakersfield, California, resulting in nearly 80 immigrant arrests. The arrests included several sex offenders, sex offenders with existing criminal warrants, and those involved in drug trafficking.
