Head to toe covered in dark clothes, shoes and ski masks, the attacker brutally attacked a screaming woman in suburban Philadelphia early Thursday morning. Surveillance video The suspect flattens the victim with a kick from behind in the parking lot outside his apartment, stomping and punching her before he escapes.
Hatfield Township police say the attack that took place when the woman left her apartment around 4:30am appears to be targeted, but they are investigating all the possibilities. WPVI-TV reported.
“I couldn’t believe someone would actually do that, and it’s coming from behind… a shallow man.”
One of the Hatfield Village apartments told the station that the screams of a neighbor woke him up.
“I opened the blinds and saw my neighbor awake,” Christopher Stevens told WPVI. “She just looked attacked.”
Stevens called 911 and showed officials a video of his ring, Station added.
“It looked like he had been waiting for her for about 10 minutes, and then when she came out to go to work, he jumped at her,” Stevens told WPVI, adding, “It hurts a lot to see it happen to someone. I really hope she’s fine.”

The Scully Company, which manages the property, issued a statement, with WPVI saying: “Our thoughts and concerns are residents and we look forward to a quick recovery. We respect their privacy and are unable to provide details at this time due to ongoing investigations.”
The nameless neighbor told the station that she was “fed up” by the attack.
“We should have a camera system installed and security patrols would probably be good,” Kevin Finn, who has lived in the apartment for the past six years, told the station.
Police have warned residents to stay vigilant, but said there was no reason to be put in danger due to the incident, WPVI reported.
