Broncos’ Sean Payton issues warning to teams passing on Shedeur Sanders during NFL draft

The Broncos’ Sean Payton team doesn’t need a quarterback.

But he spent plenty of time around Cheddur Sanders giving his opinion on the incredible slide of Colorado quarterbacks going down the draftboard that entered the third day after Sanders was deciphered in the second and third rounds on Friday night.

“I saw it [Shedeur] When he was in middle school, and I saw him when he saw him in high school and when he was there. They were in high school sophomores on their way to Florida,” Payton told reporters Friday. All ESPN. “Please be careful as this guy plays in this league, just like he has this chip on his shoulder.”

Many team staff provided Sanders with a positive quote on Friday, but even so, five quarterbacks were drafted before the player who was considered the first candidate to compete overall at one point, remarking the volume.

Tyler Schaff of Louisville, Jalane Milllow of Alabama and Dillon Gabriel of Oregon all left the board on Friday.

“The time he spent with Chedur and what he did throughout his college career are impressive,” Browns GM Andrew Berry, who placed Gabriel in 94th overall, told reporters. “He’s an impressive young man, he’s a really good quarterback.

“…I’ll say this too. There are four more rounds in the draft, and at the end, there are fewer places you choose than after you choose. That’s the most important thing.”

I was impressed that Berry might or might not have been with Sanders, making him a Browns choice wasn’t enough.

Jerry Jones, owner of the same Cowboys, has a quarterback for Duck Prescott, but has been proposed as a potential landing spot for Sanders, where Espan’s Adam Shefater enters Friday night.

“I watched two or three ball games [Shedeur]Jones told reporters. It’s an incredible winning character for sports. got it? And I can tell you that.

“I don’t know how many scouts visited with me about the characters in the Sanders group, but they’re absolutely happening in the best thing ever in a sport.”

Obviously, the quarterback Needy team believes in it, and doesn’t believe it feels different about Sanders’ talent.

“I think it’s hard to explain what other people are looking for. We focus on what we’re looking for,” Payton said. “It’s amazing [Sanders is still available]. ”
