My pillow CEO, Mike Lindell, counsel, was pulled up by a federal judge after being captured using artificial intelligence (AI) to help write a legal summary in an honor loss case. According to District Judge Nina Wang, the brief had 30 flawed quotes. Latin time.

Judge King ordered lawyers Christopher Kacholov and Jennifer DeMaster to show why the court should not approve the defendants, law firms and individual lawyers.

“The court has identified 30 defective quotes from the opposition, including, but not limited to, misquoting the cases cited.

Both lawyers are instructed to explain why they should not be referred to disciplinary procedures for violating rules of professional conduct.

In the court application, Mr Kachourov and Ms DeMaster admitted that they accidentally uploaded a draft version of the motion in place of the final revised version. However, Judge Wang did not kindly take him to the entrance by his lawyer.

“The court confirmed that Kacholov actually used generative artificial intelligence until he asked directly whether the opposition parties were a product of generative artificial intelligence,” she said.

“After further questions, Mr. Kacholov admitted that, despite his understanding of his obligations under Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, he did not cite any checks from opposition authorities after such use before filing it in court.”
