Schumer dodges on whether Dems would prioritize impeaching Trump

Sen. Chuck Schumer of DN.Y., dodged questions about whether Democrats should fire President Donald Trump each if they regained Congress during an interview with CNN.

CNN host Dana Bash is the Senate Minority Leader and D-Ga. I asked Senator Jon Ossoff of the company if he agreed.

“If Democrats get back Congress, is that a priority?” Bash asked.

“President Trump violates the rule of law in every respect, and we fight him every day in every respect. And our goal is to show the people of America over and over again, whether it’s the economy, tariffs, Russia and overseas, whether it’s the rule of law, and how bad he is, and whether you know or not.

“Look, it’s too far away to judge,” Schumer replied.

Ossoff expressed support for each Trump during the Georgia City Hall event.

“I saw it just 48 hours ago, [Trump] I’m giving an audience to those who buy his meme coins,” Ossov said. And the reality is that it’s just one of many things [examples] – For example, it violates a federal court order. ”

Progressive Democrats in the House have not steered away from supporting the call for each. Rep. Al Green of D-Texas was the first legislator to only call for it for a few weeks in his second term.

Green’s appeal has been supported by other Democrats, including Suzanne Bonamich and Maxine Dexter of Oregon. Rep. Sam Ricardo and Maxine Waters of California. Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Rep. Sri Taneder, Michigan. Rep. Hank Johnson of Georgia – all of them are on the record regarding their support, NBC News.
