Cops clash with anti-Israel protesters outside NYC synagogue where Israeli minister was set to speak before event canceled

Anti-Israel protesters clashed with police officers outside the Brooklyn Synagogue on Sunday, where Israeli security guards were scheduled to speak out.

The protest outside the Ocean Parkway congregation saw NYPD officers and members of the crowd brawled shortly after 9:30am, with violent mobs demonstrating Sunday’s speech by Israeli security minister Itamar Ben Gwil.

The speech is wasted, and the Minister of Fire is now set to return home a day earlier. Israeli outlet Haretz reported.

The violent clash came two days after anti-Israel demonstrators and Hasidhin Jews ran around overboard outside Chabad Lubavich’s World Headquarters in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Police said at least half a dozen people were arrested in the protest.

Last week, protesters threw a bottle of water at Ben Gville after an event near Yale campus.

Photos from Sunday’s scene in Brooklyn showed officers detaining protesters facing protesters, including those who are wrestling with police on the ground.
