Drew Barrymore maintains a youthful glow without the help of cosmetic surgery.
The actress, 50, shared that she has never been under the knife during a Q&A with the audience for “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Friday.
“Can you tell me your secret that you’re gracefully aging and very comfortable on your own skin?” a fan asked Barrymore. Barrymore replied, “I’ve done nothing, I want to stay that way.”
Despite her preference for embracing her natural skin, the talk show host said she even decides that others will turn to the procedure, or that she even has a friend who is much more confident after getting the job done.
“But I also do anything to work for you. The only thing I know is not to judge others because others do things differently,” she said.
But Barrymore admitted that as she ages, she becomes more worried about parts of her body. “I see a lot of turkey necks.
However, the “Charlie’s Angels” star embraces her evolving look by being kind to herself.
“I want to tell myself not to be so mean,” she said. “What beautiful moment is it that even gains the privilege of seeing our reflections?
“So the more kinder, more patient, more resilient, more loving, more embraced, and less opposed to what we can be, the better the mental and mental games that affect our faces.”
She continued, “A smile is better than any lipstick you buy.”
Barrymore told the crowd that he was focusing on “internal dialogue” “not very visceral.” She also tries not to say, “It’s not very quick to catch a flaw.”
“By the way, who says it’s a flaw? That might be something someone else likes about you… how ironic,” she said before reminding the audience.
Social media users praised Barrymore’s perspective on embracing aging in the comments section of the clip Share on her Instagram.
“Keep it authentic, that’s why we love YA!” one person wrote.
“Drew, you’re truly amazing and a great example of kindness to the others around us,” the second fan cried.
“This is definitely some [most] I say the beautiful words I heard from you. The netizen rang.
“I’m a little older than Drew and like many of us did, I grew up with her. ‘Oh, amazing! Amazing. We’re there right now.” It really resonated.
Barrymore refused to undergo plastic surgery to prevent or soften the effects of aging, but in 1992 he suffered breast reduction.
