Last month, he received considerable funds from Senators Maxwell Frost (D-FL) and Maxine Dexter (D-OR), pushing the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to either return the money or convert it into campaign cash.
Several representatives, particularly from vulnerable districts in the upcoming 2026 house race, were reportedly mentioned in Cook Political Reports. It was noted that Frost received a $1,000 contribution connected to a trip to El Salvador involving a defendant linked to the MS-13 gang, Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who was deported in March.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) records indicate that Frost’s campaign committee plans to support candidates in tightly contested districts shortly before his trip to Latin America:
Derek Tran (CA-45) – $1,000
Adam Gray (CA-13) – $1,000
Emilia Sykes (OH-13) – $1,000
Gabe Vasquez (NM-02) – $1,000
Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) – $1,000
Laura Gillen (NY-04) – $1,000
Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34) – $1,000
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) – $1,000
Frost has recently contributed thousands to other Democrats in precarious positions as well:
Josh Harder (CA-09) – $1,000
George Whiteside (CA-27) – $1,000
Dave Min (CA-47) – $1,000
Eugene Vindman (VA-07) – $1,000
Kristen McDonald (MI-08) – $1,000
Nellie Pou (NJ-09) – $1,000
Susie Lee (NV-03) – $1,000
Tom Suozzi (NY-03) – $1,000
Josh Riley (NY-19) – $1,000
Frank Mrvan (IN-01) – $1,000
Dinatitus (NV-01) – $1,000
Stephen Horseford (NV-04) – $1,000
Dexter, who joined Frost in El Salvador to protest Abrego Garcia’s deportation—who was arrested alongside other gang members—has also become quite active.
Here’s a quick list of Democrats who benefited from Dexter’s campaign donations:
Dave Min (CA-47) – $1,000
Derek Tran (CA-45) – $1,000
George Whiteside (CA-27) – $1,000
Janelle Bynum (OR-05) – $1,000
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) – $1,000
The NRCC is demanding that Democrats respond to these donations and has released a pointed statement to Breitbart News, stating, “These vulnerable House Democrats accept funding from radical colleagues while evading the issue of illegal immigration instead of securing our borders. They need to either return the contributions or admit that they’ve prioritized campaign funding over national security.”
