Warriors and Rockets Series Ties After Intense Game
Recently, the Golden State Warriors established a 3-1 lead in their playoff series against the Houston Rockets. However, on Friday, the Rockets managed to equalize the series at 3-3 following a hard-fought Game 6.
Unfortunately, Draymond Green’s aggressive play overshadowed the competitiveness of the game. Just three minutes into the first quarter, an incident occurred involving Rockets guard Jalen Green, prompting a foul call on the Warriors’ Green. This happened when Draymond attempted to set a screen for Steph Curry and inadvertently collided with Jalen Green.
After reviewing the play—where it appeared that Draymond made contact with Jalen’s head—the officials decided to change the initial call from an offensive foul to a flagrant foul. This decision sent Jalen Green to the free-throw line, where he successfully made both shots, plus granted Houston possession.
Earlier in the series, tensions were apparent as well. Following a Warriors victory in Game 3, Draymond seemed to taunt Jalen, leading to a brief exchange between the players before teammates intervened. In that game, Draymond contributed only seven points and struggled with his shooting, going 0 for 4 from three-point range—a fact that Jalen later highlighted during a post-game interview.
Jalen remarked about the situation, saying, “I’m just talking. He really can’t do anything else, so speaking is his only way,” reflecting on their heated encounter.
Additionally, Draymond was involved in another significant foul during Game 4, which raised eyebrows among both players and fans.
As the series heads into Game 7, scheduled for Sunday in Houston, anticipation is building. It’s clear that both teams are eager to clinch the series, though the intensity of the matchup suggests anything could happen.
