Manila Airport Incident
In Manila, two people lost their lives, including a four-year-old girl, following a car crash at the entrance of Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Sunday. Several others sustained injuries in the incident.
The airport reported that the accident involved a vehicle striking a corridor near the entrance to NAIA Terminal 1, breaking through an outside handrail.
Officials acknowledged the public’s concerns, especially with images circulating on social media, and urged individuals to await verified updates rather than speculate on the situation.
The Philippine Red Cross, which was present at the scene, confirmed that the crash resulted in the deaths of a male adult and the young girl.
Local media shared images showing injured individuals on the ground, shattered glass scattered at the entrance, and visible damage to the front of the black SUV involved.
The injured are receiving treatment, and the vehicle’s driver is currently in police custody.
