Mother of missing Long Island candidate Petros Krommidas asks to ‘bring my son home’ as search becomes more difficult

The mother of a Long Island Democratic candidate, who has gone missing near a local beach, is asking for assistance in locating her son and urging supporters to stay hopeful as the search reaches day twelve.

Maria Law Clomidas made a heartfelt plea to her social media followers after her son, Petros Clomidas, vanished while training for a triathlon in Long Beach.

Petros was reported missing on Thursday, April 24th, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

“Twelve days have gone by without any news,” she expressed. “I truly appreciate all the efforts, love, prayers, and support, but I’m asking, please don’t stop searching.”

In her message, she also offered to provide Tide charts for Monday and Tuesday to assist in the search. “Please help bring the boys home,” she implored.

Petros Clomidas was a candidate for the Nassau County Council when he disappeared. His vehicles and towels were found nearby, but despite extensive search efforts—including the use of drones and a team of 100 volunteers at Atlantic Beach—no new leads have emerged.
