The Las Vegas Ace has released two players following their latest preseason game. Rookie guard Harmoner and veteran forward Queen Egbo are the ones cut from the roster.
Turner was selected in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft, becoming the 34th overall pick after a noteworthy career at Harvard, where she averaged 18.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. In her senior year, she managed a shooting percentage of 43% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Egbo was the 10th overall selection in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She played her first two seasons with the Indiana Fever and has also been part of the Washington Mystics, Connecticut Sun, Los Angeles Sparks, and the Las Vegas Ace. Over her three years in the WNBA, she has averaged 5.5 points and 4.9 rebounds across 15.7 minutes per game.
In the recent game against the Phoenix Mercury, Turner logged 11 minutes on the court, scoring four points while also contributing steals and rebounds. Conversely, Egbo only saw five minutes of action coming off the bench.
Last week, Ace head coach Becky Hammon expressed her admiration for Turner after the first day of training camp.
“Her presence—just the energy she brings—is like the sunlight in the room,” Hammon said. “She’s really easy to be around and always plays hard.”
