Pakistan Did Not Shut Down Airspace, Utilized Civilian Flights As Protection During Drone Attack On India

New Delhi Update

According to a recent government briefing, Pakistan did not restrict its airspace yesterday, allowing civilian flights to continue. However, it also covertly deployed Turkish drones over Indian cities on Thursday.

The government indicated that Pakistani drones are utilizing unsuspecting civilian aircraft as a cover. Reports suggest that around 300 to 400 Pakistani drones were directed toward civilian structures, military sites, and places of worship in northern India.

Even on Friday evening, multiple private flights were tracked in Pakistani airspace, though these did not appear on Indian flight radars.

India’s air defense system effectively intercepted some of the drones launched.

Meanwhile, heavy artillery from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch region targeted homes near a monastery school, resulting in fatalities among two students.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri remarked on the situation, stating, “Attacks on temples, gurdwaras, and monasteries represent a new low from Pakistan.”

Pakistan has deployed several Turkish-made Ashigarh Songar armed drones across various regions. The Indian military reported that some of these drones were intercepted and shot down by its air defense systems.
