Court Permits CIA to Dismiss Official Involved in Biden’s Military COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement

Judge Allows CIA to Fire Center for Global Health Services Director

A federal district judge has ruled that the CIA can dismiss the director of the Center for Global Health Services. The former director, Adirim, had challenged her termination after being let go by the agency. She claimed her legal rights were violated and accused the CIA of retaliating against her for not criticizing the requirement for military personnel to get the Covid-19 vaccine. However, US District Judge Michael Nachmanoff found her lawsuit insufficient to prevent her removal.

In her role in 2021, Adirim acted as the proxy deputy secretary for health and was involved in the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 vaccine initiative. She had noted that the sector was grappling with similar issues regarding vaccine acceptance and was using various strategies to encourage vaccinations.

Adirim’s dismissal reportedly took place on April 4, with the news of her firing surfacing publicly soon after on April 8, largely due to former Defense Intelligence Agency employee Ivan Raiklin sharing the story online.

Additionally, Adirim has filed a lawsuit against the CIA and its directors, including John Ratcliffe. The suit claims activist Laura Loomer was fired following a visit to the White House to discuss national security concerns, where she allegedly had a list of officials to be ousted.

The lawsuit further alleges that Raiklin encouraged Loomer to request her exclusion from the list of officials implicated in the vaccine mandate and sought more information through the legal proceedings.

Adirim’s attorney, Kevin Carroll, indicated that the case might provide protection for agents who acted illegally in light of Adirim’s claims regarding her termination tied to posts involving Donald Trump Jr. However, Judge Nachmanoff noted that Carroll’s arguments regarding Trump Jr.’s comments did not present enough proof to suggest the CIA was retaliating against Adirim.

Raiklin denied having any communication with Loomer in the months leading up to Adirim’s firing. At the time of her termination, Adirim was reportedly under a five-year contract with the CIA, which included a clause allowing her to be let go with a 30-day notice for unspecified reasons.

According to recent reports, Judge Nachmanoff issued a temporary halt to Adirim’s removal last week, although the specifics of that stay remain unclear.
