Trump criticizes ABC reporter for inquiring about the jet from Qatar.

President Donald Trump expressed frustration towards an ABC reporter on Monday, suggesting she should feel embarrassed for asking about the offer of luxurious jets from Qatar. He described it as “silly” to decline such an offer.

During a press event at the White House, where he was signing an executive order aimed at reducing drug prices, reporter Rachel Scott asked, “What do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift for you?” Trump shot back, questioning her integrity as a journalist and asserting that the jets were a generous gift to the U.S. government, not him personally.

He then referenced an anecdote involving golfer Sam Snead, who, he explained, would readily accept a favorable offer instead of playing overly defensively.

In his defense of Qatar’s offer, Trump remarked that it’s a necessary action because Boeing’s delay in delivering a new fleet of Air Force One greatly hampers U.S. capabilities. “We are deeply disappointed that Boeing is taking so long to build a new Air Force,” he stated, emphasizing the outdated state of the current fleet.

Despite some critics labeling the arrangement as unethical—comparable to accepting foreign bribes—the White House maintains that there are no strings attached to the jets, which are undergoing legal scrutiny for transparency.

In a post on social media, Trump confirmed that the Department of Defense would receive the jets as gifts, dismissively labeling the Democratic opposition as “world-class losers.” He argued that this clear and open deal should not provoke criticism and called out those who claim otherwise.
