Police look into fires at properties and a car connected to Keir Starmer.

Counterterrorism police are looking into three separate fires that broke out at a home linked to Kier Starmer early Monday. Firefighters arrived at the Kentish Town property after a fire was reported just after 1:30 a.m. While the door sustained damage, thankfully, no one was injured.

The Prime Minister, who resides with his family in an official home on Downing Street, is reportedly living in a four-bedroom house.

Authorities are treating the fires as suspicious and have established a counterterrorism unit (SO15) to oversee the investigation as a precautionary step.

On Monday night, information surfaced about two additional fires. Fire crews were called on Sunday shortly after 3 a.m. to a small fire at the front door of a flat in nearby Islington, which is reportedly connected to the Prime Minister.

According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), one individual was safely assisted by a crew using breathing apparatus, and the fire was brought under control by 4 a.m.

Additionally, officials are probing a minor car fire that occurred the previous Thursday before 3 a.m. on the same street as the Kentish Town property.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating a potential link between the incidents, with counterterrorism officials actively involved.

A spokesperson for the Met stated: “At this early stage, officers are assessing the situation regarding all three fires and are open to the possibility of connections between them. Everything is being treated as suspicious, and inquiries are ongoing.”

In a prior announcement, the Met added: “As a precaution, given previous connections to high-profile individuals, the counterterrorism command is leading the investigation. We are working to determine the potential cause of the fires.”

The exact cause is still under investigation, but it’s currently classified as suspicious.

A spokesperson for No. 10 remarked, “The Prime Minister acknowledges the efforts of the emergency services and, given that this is an active investigation, cannot provide further comments.”

Meanwhile, reports of the fires coincided with the government’s announcement about plans to tighten migration rules.

The house that he and his wife, Victoria, acquired in 2004 had faced protests in the past, with three individuals found guilty of public order offenses last year following a pro-Palestinian demonstration outside their residence.
