Knicks’ success marked the start of the decline for Celtics

The Knicks are past the point of surprise, but they keep delivering reminders that anything is possible.

On Monday night, they possibly played their best game of the season, overcoming the defending champions to win 121-113 against the Celtics in Game 4 of the second round. This victory secured their spot in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.

Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday in Boston. However, the Celtics face a tough challenge as they may have to manage without their star forward, Jason Tatum, who had an impressive 42-point performance but suffered a serious-looking leg injury in the closing minutes. After attempting to retrieve a loose ball, he experienced pain and needed a wheelchair to exit the court, unable to bear weight on his right leg. An MRI is set for him on Tuesday.

“We’re concerned about his well-being, and we know we need to step up for Game 5,” said Celtics coach Joe Matzura.
