The Pennsylvania-based company, Knockro Inc., is recalling its yogurt parfait products due to undeclared allergens. Specifically, some of the granola included in their Bonya branded low-fat yogurt parfaits contains almonds that are not mentioned on the packaging.
This information comes from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to almonds are at risk for serious, potentially life-threatening reactions if they consume these products, the FDA stated in their recall announcement.
These breakfast snacks were distributed to restaurants across the country. The affected parfaits are sold in 12-ounce clear plastic cups, with a May 5, 2025 expiration date.
The flavors impacted by this recall consist of vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, peach, mango, and blueberry.
The FDA reported that the recall began after it was found that packages containing almonds were released without proper labeling. Investigations revealed this issue stemmed from a temporary failure in the company’s production and packaging processes.
So far, there have been no reported illnesses related to this recall. Customers who have purchased the Bonya Yogurt Parfaits are encouraged to return them to the point of purchase for a refund.
