Qatar Airways plans to reveal a significant order from Boeing during Trump’s visit.

Qatar Airways is expected to announce that President Trump has finalized a deal to acquire 150 aircraft from Boeing during his visit to Doha on Wednesday.

Trump made the journey from Saudi Arabia to Qatar early on Wednesday afternoon, participating in a state visit that will be followed by a state dinner later in the evening.

The agreement with Boeing for widebody jets includes options for additional purchases. Earlier this month, reports indicated that this move aligns with the Trump administration’s efforts to encourage nations like Qatar to invest in American manufacturing.

Boeing declined to confirm the deal when approached by News Nation, and Qatar Airways did not provide any comments regarding the announcement. White House officials mentioned they wouldn’t preempt the president’s upcoming statement.

On Tuesday, Trump secured a significant investment of $600 billion from Saudi Arabia, brokered by the Saudi firm DataVolt. This investment entails $2 billion allocated for US-based artificial intelligence data centers and enhancements to energy infrastructure.

Moreover, the Qatari government plans to present the US with a luxurious Boeing 747 to serve as the new Air Force One. However, Qatari officials stated that the aircraft would not be gifted to Trump during his visit on Wednesday.

Prior to departing, Trump expressed that it would be “silly” not to give a gift, hinting at plans to visit his presidential library once he leaves office.
