Representative Ramonica McQuiver, a Democrat from New Jersey, recently had a heated exchange with Blaze Media national correspondent Julio Rosas regarding a video that seems to depict her confronting federal agents.
McQuiver was among the Democrats who sought access to the ICE detention facility in Newark on Friday, but during this, she appeared to be filmed attacking federal officers. Body cam footage has surfaced, showing escalating tensions.
“You’ve had plenty to say outside the ICE facility. How about now?” Rosas prompted her as they walked through a Congressional hallway with his staff on Wednesday.
“What’s your reaction to the video of ICE agents being attacked?” he questioned. “Do you have a response, Congressman?” McQuiver walked alongside her aides without addressing his questions.
“Are you implying that the immigrants being held at Delaney Hall are serious criminals?” Rosas pressed further.
Earlier that same day, Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene demanded McQuiver’s expulsion from Congress. Greene criticized McQuiver, saying, “I couldn’t even watch when the video of her confronting an ICE officer was played at today’s session.”
Greene added, “She doesn’t respect law enforcement or the law itself, which is especially shameful during Police Week. This behavior warrants not just criticism but her removal from Congress.”
In response, McQuiver took to social media, humorously tweeting, “The rent is due in Marjorie’s brain! She’s left the committee, but I’m still here…”
