While there wasn’t much to celebrate, the crowd looked ahead to Game 6 back at MSG on Friday night, adopting the new chant: “Knicks in 6.”
Inside, fans, including Knicks legends like John Starks, Jamal Crawford, Bernard King, Junior Smith, and Larry Johnson, watched as the Celtics surged ahead in the second half after the game was tied at 59-59.

One fan expressed discontent regarding Honey’s “shot” in honor of Jalen Brunson, who had fouled out late in the game.
Frustration was palpable as others criticized Celtics players such as Kristaps Porzingis, LeBron James, and former rival Trae Young.
Fans will need to channel that energy on Friday night, hoping to see the Knicks wrap up the series before a critical Game 7 in Boston.
Liam Walker, a Hoboken resident, shared his optimism for the Knicks closing it out at home. “Yeah, I think they had a 3-1 lead… ‘Yeah, Tatum’s hurt, we’ve got this.’ But they just didn’t seem prepared,” he reflected. “You could tell OG wasn’t playing well; Brunson seemed a bit off. I believe we’ll win at home on Friday.”
