Dave Portnoy and his girlfriend, Camryn D’Aloia, found themselves at the center of attention while sitting courtside for Game 5 of the Knicks-Celtics Eastern Conference semi-final in Boston on Wednesday night.
As a devoted Celtics fan, Portnoy, who is the founder of Barstool Sports, donned a C hat and enjoyed a beverage. D’Aloia, a community management associate at hair growth company Nutrafol, keeps a low profile online on her private Instagram account.
With emotions running high at TD Garden, the Celtics faced a must-win situation, trailing 3-1 in the series. Their star player, Jason Tatum, was absent due to surgery on his right Achilles tendon, which he injured in Game 4. The Celtics managed a 127-102 victory over the Knicks, forcing a Game 6 to be held at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
Portnoy expressed his excitement after the win, saying, “Our best players get hurt, what a disaster. Then you’ll have a team together tonight.” It’s uncertain if Portnoy and D’Aloia will attend Game 6.
This isn’t the first time the couple has made a viral impression; they gained attention during last year’s NBA playoffs when they were spotted courtside during Game 4 of the Celtics-Heat series.
While sitting behind the broadcast table where Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy commentated, the couple seemed a bit camera-shy. On an episode of the “BFFS” podcast, Portnoy mentioned their relationship, emphasizing that it wasn’t your typical “boyfriend-girlfriend” dynamic. However, he later confirmed their dating status on the “Pindrop” podcast in April, about six months after his split from influencer Silvana Modica.
Before that, Portnoy was married to Renee Portnoy from 2009 to 2017.
