Trump Disparages Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift

Trump Targets Springsteen and Swift on Social Media

President Donald Trump made headlines recently during a break while flying with the Air Force, directing his ire toward Bruce Springsteen, whom he labeled an “unpleasant jerk.” He also commented on Taylor Swift, suggesting that she’s “not hot anymore” in a series of social media posts aimed at the music icons.

Fresh off a diplomatic mission in the Middle East, Trump took to his social platform to take aim at Springsteen, calling the celebrated musician “very overrated.” He added, “I didn’t like him, I didn’t like his music or his radical left politics, and importantly, he’s not a talented man.” Trump’s critique included a jab at Springsteen’s appearance, saying it looks like he needs to keep quiet until he returns to the U.S.

Springsteen, known for his liberal views, had been vocal against Trump during the last election, backing President Joe Biden, who ultimately won the bid. Recently, at a concert in Manchester, he spoke passionately about America, saying, “My home, America I love… it was a beacon of hope and freedom for 250 years.” He urged fans to “raise your voice against authoritarianism and let our freedom ring.”

Trump also had some pointed remarks directed at Swift, who has shown her support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. In a post that many speculate connects back to remarks he made last September, Trump stated, “I hate Taylor Swift!”

At 35, Swift has made a name for herself not just as a musician but also as a savvy businesswoman, boasting an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, along with multiple awards including 14 Grammys and 30 MTV Video Music Awards.
