Keeping up with the fast-paced world of crypto games can be quite the challenge. With new game releases, speculative projects, price changes, and even some projects collapsing, it’s a lot to take in. Maplestory n Now Live: The latest installment of Maplestory n has just been launched on the Avalanche blockchain. This release is being described as one of the most significant in crypto gaming history. It merges the classic 2D MMORPG gameplay that fans know and love with blockchain tech, enabling players to truly own and trade in-game assets. This launch led to a 549% increase in active Avalanche wallet addresses and included the largest NFT mint on the network, with over 1.7 million free scrolling NFTs.

The token Nexpace (NXPC) has seen some stability, boasting a market cap that exceeded $600 million on Wednesday, a significant jump from less than $400 million by Sunday. It now ranks among the top gaming tokens available.

Nyan Heroes is Complete: The Solana-based hero shooter Nyan Heroes has shut down due to an inability to secure further funding. Although it had four playtests in the Epic Games Store, managed Nyan Token Airdrops, and gathered over a million players, it couldn’t escape the financial struggles currently facing the industry.

Max Fu, CEO of 9 Lives, mentioned that negotiations concerning the acquisition are still in progress, although results may take time. Following the announcement, Nyan Token experienced a staggering 40% drop, now trading at nearly 99% below its all-time high from May 2024. Other similar projects, like Mystery Society and The Walking Dead: Empire, have also announced shutdowns.

Pixelmon Adopts Avax: The Pokémon-inspired franchise Pixelmon is set to launch its mobile RPG Warden’s Rise on Avalanche in 2025. While its main assets will remain on Ethereum, existing “Monster Tycon” gameplay will stay on the immutable ZKEVM, making future projects exclusive to Avalanche.

CEO Giulio Xiloyannis pointed to Avalanche’s potential to attract millions of players and the possibility of dedicated Pixelmon subnets as key reasons for this shift. This decision marks a significant transformation for Pixelmon, which has evolved from a much-maligned NFT project into a multi-game franchise focused on a mobile-first strategy.
