Haley Bieber faced a serious health scare after the birth of her and Justin Bieber’s son, Jack, due to postnatal bleeding.
In a recent conversation with Vogue Magazine, she described the ordeal as “a little scary.” She expressed that, while she places complete trust in her doctors, the situation was alarming. “I was bleeding really badly, and people have died from this,” she shared, acknowledging the worrying thoughts that went through her mind.
During the delivery, the doctor was working to address the bleeding; Haley noted, “You start to get a little weird.” She emphasized that her experience with childbirth, while overall challenging, was also complicated by the medical issues that arose.
Haley welcomed baby Jack in August 2024. She revealed that the birth was far from easy. She had prepared for months through various methods—like respiratory exercises, acupuncture, yoga, and weight training—but, after 39 weeks, she began leaking amniotic fluid and was subsequently induced.
The medical team used Pitocin to induce contractions and inserted a Foley balloon to help with the cervix dilation. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “It was so crazy. It wasn’t funny. They broke my water, and I was in labor for hours.”
Beyond the physical challenges, Haley also opened up about her postpartum struggles. She battled feelings of body dysmorphia and often felt depressed as she scoured comments about her appearance, which only fueled her self-loathing.
“I tell myself every day that I created a human. That’s fine. Give yourself grace,” she reminded herself, emphasizing the importance of allowing time for healing. Recently, she also shared her experience of dealing with an ovarian cyst, which added to her emotional turmoil.
Despite ongoing speculation regarding their relationship, especially with Justin’s past struggles making headlines, the couple has been showing a united front since their marriage in 2018.
