Father saves 11-year-old daughter from man who took her to a secluded spot in a NYC park, according to police.

Father Rescues Daughter from Attempted Kidnapping in Queens Park

An 11-year-old girl was saved by her father from a man who reportedly tried to abduct her while she was riding her bike through Queens Park on Monday.

The incident occurred around 5 PM as the girl and her 37-year-old dad were enjoying a run in Forest Park, close to Myrtle Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard.

According to the NYPD, 44-year-old Teddy Mouse Sinak was lurking in the bushes near a secluded area known as Victory Field. He allegedly covered the girl’s nose and mouth, threatening her before trying to drag her away.

“If you scream, I’ll kill you,” Sinak reportedly told her, according to sources. He supposedly struck her as she fought to break free.

Upon witnessing what was happening to his daughter, the father quickly intervened, shouting and rushing to her aid.

Sinak attempted to flee but was captured by two officers in the vicinity shortly after the incident.

The police reported that he faces multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, sexual abuse of a minor under 13, and various assault-related offenses.

Sinak has one prior arrest on record, but specifics are unclear due to sealed documents. Meanwhile, the girl was taken to Jamaica Hospital to address injuries sustained during the attack.

Local parents expressed their concerns about safety in the park, indicating that they’ve encountered “strange individuals” in the area before. One parent, Brandon Siegenfas, noted that he often feels uneasy when in that part of the park.

“There was always something happening,” he remarked, adding that the police seem to focus more on busier areas of the park, leaving parts less patrolled, like those where the girl was attacked, somewhat vulnerable.
