Minnesota undocumented immigrant German Adriano Llangari Inga arrested by ICE in connection with the murder of his mother Victoria Eileen Harwell

On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended an undocumented immigrant from Ecuador, Adriano Lilangali Inga, who is facing charges related to a fatal vehicle accident in Minnesota.

Reports from the Department of Homeland Security indicate that Inga’s blood alcohol content was “twice the legal limit.” Local media sources have highlighted that he is linked to the death of a Minnesota mother, Victoria Eileen Harwell.

Despite the apparent lack of cooperation from local authorities, ICE has managed to arrest Inga, who has previously slipped through legal cracks. He was initially taken into custody by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for an “unresolved warrant” on May 10 but was released just three days later without informing ICE, despite requests for notification from the agency.

Interestingly, another detainee was held by ICE at the time of the crash, but Hennepin County officials explained to Fox News Digital that detention cannot be executed solely on a request from ICE or the DHS without a judicially signed warrant.

According to ICE’s statements, if such a warrant were presented, they would be notified and could take custody. In the absence of such documentation, individuals must be let go once any criminal matters are settled.

Inga had spent two days in the county jail back in August and was arrested again on May 10 for an “unpaid warrant.” However, his release just days later raised eyebrows.

Critics are vocal about the situation, emphasizing that Hennepin County has repeatedly ignored requests from ICE regarding this case, and some believe that political leaders should be more attentive to the implications of such incidents. Earlier this month, attention was also drawn to Minnesota leadership by the former Trump administration.

ICE revealed that Inga first entered the United States in June 2016. He was detained by Customs and Border Protection and had a removal order issued against him.

Inga is reportedly connected to the tragic incident where Victoria Eileen Harwell was killed while driving with her daughter and sister in their vehicle, while he was allegedly driving under the influence in a dark-colored SUV.

This situation highlights broader issues around undocumented immigrants and public safety, sparking debates on the responsibilities of those in power.

A request for further clarification was made to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
