Tush Push Continues
After much anticipation, the proposal put forth by the Green Bay Packers to ban the Tush Push play in the NFL has not passed. During a recent league owners meeting in Minneapolis, the ban failed to gain the necessary 75% support as only 22 teams voted in favor. Notably, teams like the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, and New York Jets were among those supporting the ban, while others chose to maintain the play.
So, who stands to gain from this rule staying in place? You could argue that the Philadelphia Eagles might be the biggest beneficiaries, given their effective use of the play. While this seems true as the season kicks off, there are definitely other teams that are also immediate winners in this scenario.
For instance, take a look at Philadelphia’s social media team. Just minutes after the proposal was shot down, they shared a post with “push-on,” emphasizing their readiness to utilize the Tush Push tactic in games. It was a playful move that showed they’re embracing their strategy wholeheartedly.
Following that, the Eagles flooded their social media with popular memes, even including clips from the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants, which added a humorous touch to the situation.
They also released a comprehensive 26-minute highlight reel titled Tush Push on YouTube, showcasing their skills and reaffirming their momentum with the play.
As a cherry on top, they shared a clip featuring their most recent Tush Push from the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory.
In the end, it looks like the Eagles are celebrating every win they can get this season.
