Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed rumors on Wednesday suggesting that he may have lost favor with the U.S. administration following President Donald Trump’s recent Gulf visit, which did not include Israel.
Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates was marked by major business agreements but sparked discussions over Israel’s absence, highlighting its role as a key ally to Washington.
This visit came after Trump’s decision to halt U.S. airstrikes against Yemen’s Houthi forces, while Iranian-linked groups continue to target Israel and pursue negotiations regarding nuclear capabilities.
Netanyahu, who hadn’t discussed these concerns openly before, revealed in a press conference that he had a conversation with Trump about ten days ago. During that talk, Trump indicated that there were rising global concerns about Israel.
He mentioned that Trump has moved swiftly to address the conflict in Gaza, acknowledging the plight of civilians amid the humanitarian crisis exacerbated by the prolonged Israeli blockade lasting over 11 weeks.
Netanyahu also shared insights from a recent conversation with U.S. Vice President JD Vance.
