Moment baby killer quietly confesses to suffocating and burning ‘Baby Moses’ captured on video

Shocking Admission in Cold Case

A New York woman recently revealed the disturbing truth about her infant son’s death nearly three decades ago, confessing to suffocating and then burning him in Albany Park.

Investigators, led by recent DNA testing on the child’s remains, tracked down Kerimazuka, 52, who was questioned last year regarding the death of Baby Moses. News10 provided insights into the case.

The DNA technology used in this investigation is similar to that which linked infamous criminals like Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Rex Heuermann and the Golden State Killer, Joseph James Deangelo.

When interviewed, Mazzuca appeared almost detached, even as haunting images of the charred remains of the baby were shown, footage released by the Albany County District Attorney’s Office revealed.

“I did that,” Mazzuca stated with unexpected calmness when confronted about her actions. She attempted to explain her choices made back when she was in her twenties.

“I’m pregnant. I gave birth in the tub. The baby didn’t survive. I didn’t know what to do with it,” she told the officer.

Interestingly, she initially claimed that the baby could have died during childbirth, suggesting she stashed the body in a bag and handed it off to a “random person” in the park.

During the autopsy, detectives informed Mazzuca that Baby Moses did not die of natural causes, which contradicted her narrative, according to News10.

“I didn’t know what to do. I set the baby on fire,” she stated, almost nonchalantly adjusting her skirt. “Dead.”

Mazzuca openly admitted to suffocating her child. In February, she pled guilty to manslaughter and subsequently received a 25-year prison sentence last month, according to reports.

Baby Moses was discovered wrapped in a blue towel on September 7, 1997. As noted by the DOE network, the child’s grave at Graceland Cemetery is marked with the inscription: “Moses Washington. Citizens of Albany. Children of God.”
