Scott Jennings Informs CNN Host About Criminal Records of Illegal Immigrants Deported to Sudan

Scott Jennings Discusses Deportations of Criminal Illegal Immigrants

On Wednesday, Republican strategist Scott Jennings highlighted the criminal records of illegal immigrants deported to South Sudan, suggesting that the country was “too good” for them.

The White House shared a factsheet outlining the convictions of eight illegal immigrants, which include serious offenses such as murder, assault, robbery, and child sexual abuse. This was released in response to a federal judge’s claim that the Trump administration had disregarded court orders by deporting these individuals. Jennings’ remarks came during a discussion on “CNN Newsnight,” where he clashed with fellow strategist Shermichael Singleton regarding the removal of these immigrants.

“They broke the law, Abby. When you entered the country, you committed a felony. We need to stop this from continuing because it’s become a real issue for our nation,” Singleton argued.

Jennings was then cut off, but he expressed his willingness to share details on the criminal convictions. “I’ve read about these convictions,” Jennings said. “The appropriate penalty, according to some, could be the death penalty. Is that right?” He continued, “We’re talking about sex offenders, murderers, and individuals involved in various violent crimes. South Sudan is too good for these people. And I’m not sure if any other countries would accept them.”

At a press conference, Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin condemned the lack of attention to significant victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. She referenced recent events, including the arrest of 23-year-old Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, in connection with the murder of 37-year-old Rachel Morin in Maryland.

Additionally, law enforcement in Houston arrested two men in relation to the capital murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, linked to both rape and murder. In another case, Venezuelan immigrant Jose Antonio Ibarra was charged with the murder of 22-year-old nursing student Raiken Riley after crossing the US-Mexico border.

According to statistics from US Customs and Border Protection, millions of illegal immigrants have been encountered during the Biden administration.
