‘Harry Potter’ actor Stanislav Yanevski taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery after having trouble breathing

Stanislav Janevsky Hospitalized After Breathing Trouble

Stanislav Janevsky, known for his role as Victor Krum in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” shared on Friday that he experienced a serious health scare shortly after turning 40. According to him, he was rushed to the hospital when he suddenly found himself unable to breathe.

Following this alarming incident, he underwent emergency surgery and has reportedly begun recovering. In a post on Instagram, Janevsky shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed, with bandages around his nose, discussing his experience.

While the Bulgarian actor hasn’t disclosed the specifics of his diagnosis, he mentioned that he chose to deal with the situation privately so as not to cause worry among friends and colleagues. “As usual, those who are close to me, I didn’t want to scare anyone about my condition, so I kept this to myself,” he noted. He expressed gratitude towards the few people he confided in, including family, for their support.

Janevsky reassured his fans that he is on the mend and that his doctors were pleasantly surprised by how well he’s recovering. “I can breathe freely and enjoy all the scents life offers,” he shared. Additionally, he remarked that he can now sleep better, which aids in his recovery process.

However, he did acknowledge that it might take some time before he’s fully ready to return to acting. “Please be patient with my appearances. I still have some work to do with my nose, so I can’t speak as comfortably as I’d like. I’ve paused taking gigs until I can communicate clearly again,” he explained.

In “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” Janevsky played the love interest of Hermione Granger, portrayed by Emma Watson. He’s a fitness enthusiast and often shares posts about his training on social media. Reflecting on his recovery, he believes that his healthy lifestyle, including diet and exercise, will contribute positively to his healing.

Janevsky’s role in the 2005 Harry Potter film was his acting debut, with his last known role in the action thriller “Last Man Down” released in 2021. He was also scheduled to participate in the Swiss Comic Con at the end of May.

In another similar incident, Nick Moran, who played Scabior in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” and Part II, was hospitalized due to serious spinal cord injuries, but has since been discharged and is on the road to recovery.
