Turning Point PAC invests $500,000 in ads for Biggs in Arizona's governor race

Campaign Ads Heat Up for Arizona Gubernatorial Race

As the Arizona Republican Party gears up for the gubernatorial primary, campaign advertising is already in full swing, even with the election still a year away in August 2026. Turning Point PAC revealed on Tuesday that it will invest $500,000 in media across various platforms to back Rep. Andy Biggs, utilizing “strategic cable, over-the-top, radio and direct voter placement” to reach Arizona voters. The advertisement campaign kicks off on Tuesday and will run for the next 3.5 weeks, featuring spots on Fox News and targeted digital ads, as well as placements on conservative talk radio streams.

“Andy Biggs was the best Arizona Senate President in decades, and he was President Trump’s most trusted ally in Congress. Trump recruited him, and he has the backing of Charlie Kirk and Turning Point Action,” stated a spokesperson.

The spokesperson also emphasized that Biggs’ campaign is gathering momentum early on, as evidenced by the impressive media clips already making waves. It seems that excitement is building—though are we getting ahead of ourselves here?

This announcement coincides with a meeting for Biggs supporters in the Phoenix area over the weekend. “It’s truly remarkable to see a packed room of Biggs supporters so far removed from the primary. This shows the grassroots enthusiasm already building for his campaign,” shared Charlie Kirk, the founder of TPUSA, which is based in Arizona.

He further remarked that voters will undoubtedly recognize Biggs on their ballots, suggesting that his growing lead over competitors would continue to expand as more people become aware.

In this primary, Biggs will face off against Karrin Taylor Robson, a businesswoman and former Arizona Board member who previously sought nominations in 2022 but lost to Kari Lake. Supporters for Taylor Robson have pointed out that she is actively reaching out to voters through various platforms and recently announced “millions of dollars” in ad placements scheduled for April to promote her campaign and Trump’s endorsement.

“We are honored that President Trump has reaffirmed his support for our campaign,” Taylor Robson stated. “It’s time we take our leadership to the voters in Arizona. Katie Hobbs has been a disaster in her role, and as governor, I would work closely with Trump to strengthen our borders, enhance the economy, and ensure a safer Arizona.”

Notably, Trump has shown support for both Biggs and Taylor Robson. He mentioned in a social media post that he was initially in favor of Robson when she reached out for his backing, stating that no one else was running at the time.

However, with Biggs now in the race, Trump added that he had “issues” regarding this transition of support. Yet, he ultimately expressed his full endorsement for both candidates.

The aggressive early advertising reflects the competitive nature of the race in a state that’s regarded as a pivotal swing area for November elections. Cook’s political report has recognized this race’s significance.
