Stefon Diggs Joins New England Patriots for Offseason Training
Stefon Diggs, who recently signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots, has shown up for offseason training with his new team this week. It’s not really unusual for veteran players to take part in spontaneous practice, but Diggs’ presence has certainly caught the eye of fans, especially after a video surfaced on social media. In it, he appears to be gifting a pink crystal bag to a woman on a boat.
The 31-year-old wide receiver has been busy during the offseason, even appearing in several events alongside hip-hop artist Cardi B. He was seen at playoff games, the Met Gala, and in a Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks game.
This past Sunday, Cardi B shared photos and videos on her Instagram, one of which featured Diggs and other Pro Bowl players relaxing on a boat. That post has over 4.4 million likes, reflecting her substantial popularity, as she has around 163 million followers.
The Patriots have scheduled two optional training sessions this week, on Tuesday and Thursday, in accordance with the Spring Organized Team Activity guidelines for NFL teams. Unfortunately, media representatives won’t have access to these sessions. Coming up, there’s a mandatory mini camp set for three days starting June 9.
Diggs had impressive statistics earlier in his career, racking up at least 1,000 receiving yards for both the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills over six consecutive seasons. However, during his relatively short time with the Houston Texans, he only played in eight games last season, finishing with 496 yards due to an ACL injury he suffered in October.
