The semi-finals of the French Open kick off on June 5th, featuring two matches in the women’s draw.

Coco Gauff will compete in the second match of the morning. She is the sole American left in either singles draw after securing her spot in the semi-finals by defeating fellow American Madison Keys with a score of 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-1. Interestingly, Gauff started the tournament with a loss in one set and had to navigate through ten double faults in that match against Keys.

In the semi-finals, Gauff will take on Loïs Boisson, a French wildcard who is currently ranked 361st.

The first match of the day, scheduled for 9 AM, sees No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka face off against three-time defending champion Iga Swiatek, who is ranked fifth. Swiatek needs just two more wins to make history as the first woman to claim the title at Roland Garros.
