Colorado terror suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman faces 118 charges for his attempt to murder during an Israeli march.

Charges Brought Against Colorado Terrorist for Firebomb Attack

Mohamed Sabri Soliman, a 45-year-old man, was formally charged by Colorado state prosecutors on Thursday with 118 counts related to a violent firebombing incident targeting participants in a march dedicated to Israeli hostages.

Soliman, who is originally from Egypt, had overstayed his visa since March 28. He faces 28 counts of attempted murder after allegedly using homemade flamethrowers and throwing Molotov cocktails at peaceful demonstrators in Boulder on Sunday, as detailed in court documents.

Fifteen individuals, aged between 25 and 88, were reportedly injured in the attack. The event was organized by “Run for Their Lives,” an organization advocating for the release of hostages held in Gaza following Hamas’ assault on October 7.

Three of the burn victims are still hospitalized, according to various reports.

In a statement attributed to Boulder Detective John Sailor, Soliman expressed a desire for the marchers to die, stating he would carry out similar actions again without remorse.

During his court appearance on Thursday, Soliman, who shouted “Free Palestine,” stood behind a transparent barrier as charges were read. In addition to attempted murder, he faces multiple charges related to the use of explosives and one charge concerning animal abuse, according to court records.

If found guilty, Soliman could face nearly 700 years in prison, as estimated by Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty.

“The accusations reflect the evidence we have regarding this horrific attack and its severity,” Dougherty remarked to journalists outside the courthouse. “We are all urging support for the victims and the Jewish community impacted by this crime.”

Authorities have reportedly uncovered new evidence in the ongoing investigation into this anti-Semitic event, which may lead to further charges against Soliman, who is already facing federal charges due to his visa overstay.

The situation has prompted swift deportation efforts concerning Soliman’s family, including his wife and five children.

His next court date is scheduled for July 15.
