Shiro Jolie seemed at ease with her well-known father during a recent trip to Los Angeles.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter was spotted outside a dance studio on Wednesday, giving off an aura reminiscent of an Oscar-winning actor.
The 19-year-old looked casual, sporting a blue sweatshirt and dark sweatpants, and appeared to be on a phone call.
Her look was understated yet distinctively stylish.
This outing occurred just days after she revealed her new name during a rare public appearance in Los Angeles the prior week.
Shiro made her debut at an event for designer Isabel Maran’s capsule collection with Net a Porter, where she announced she would be dropping the “Pitt” surname. In 2024, she unveiled her new identity.
Shiro, who was involved as a choreographer for one of the performances at the exclusive event, had her name listed as “Sijorie” in the credits, according to a confirmed post.
Her chosen name appears to be a shortened version of her legal name, and it’s a clear tribute to her famous mother.
Last year, she made headlines when she legally pursued removing “Pitt” on her 18th birthday in May.
A judge approved her request in August 2024, and Shiro became known legally as Shiro Nouvel Jolie.
It seems she didn’t involve her mother in this decision-making process.
Sources revealed that she independently hired her lawyer and handled everything, making sure Angelina was unaware of the changes.
“This was an important decision made following a difficult experience,” her lawyer noted after she omitted her father’s surname.
Shiro was born in May 2006, while her twin siblings Knox and Vivienne came along in July 2008, with Brad and Angelina being parents.
Brad had also adopted Angelina’s children, Maddox and Zahara, prior to Shiro’s birth.
Reports suggest he was both surprised and troubled by his daughter’s decision.
Despite the challenges surrounding their relationship, he reportedly felt immense joy upon her birth, expressing a lifelong desire for a daughter.
However, it’s tough for Brad, as he’s reminded of the gap left by the ongoing family dynamics. He loves and misses his children a lot.
Recently, the “World War Z” actor publicly addressed his ongoing divorce from Angelina Jolie.
He commented on the nature of their split, downplaying its significance and mentioning how his personal life always captures media attention.
