Karine Jean-Pierre Leaves Democrats, Registers as Independent

In a surprising turn of events, Karine Jean-Pierre, who previously served as Joe Biden’s White House press secretary, has switched her political affiliation from Democrat to Independent. This shift coincides with the announcement of her upcoming book, titled Independence: Inside the Broken White House, scheduled for release in October 2025.

Jean-Pierre’s departure from the Democratic Party has raised eyebrows, particularly among her former colleagues who feel a sense of betrayal. Many criticize her for her long-standing support of the Biden administration, especially given its history of misleading the public.

Pat Gray from “Pat Gray Unleashed” commented on her decision, suggesting it’s reminiscent of themes found in the book The Original Sin by Jake Tupper and Alex Thompson. Gray implied that Jean-Pierre is trying to capitalize on her experiences, both good and bad, during her time in the White House.

He even referred to her new book as “Part 2 of The Original Sin.”

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith seemed to share this viewpoint. On a recent episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” he expressed skepticism about Jean-Pierre’s intentions and her consistency in messaging.

“When you say the same things as when you were press secretary, what’s the point?” Smith questioned, pointing out that she didn’t have to continue spreading misleading narratives.

He voiced curiosity about the content of her forthcoming book and its attempts to align with previous narratives presented in Tupper and Thompson’s work. Smith extended an invitation to Jean-Pierre to discuss her motives and the apparent contradictions in her post-White House statements.

Gray agreed with Smith’s perspective, suggesting that her actions reveal more about opportunism than a genuine shift in ideology.
