Money in the Bank 2025: WWE title challengers announced

WWE Money in the Bank Wrap-Up

This past Saturday evening, the WWE Championships for both Men’s and Women’s Divisions revealed their top contenders for Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins and Naomi emerged victorious in their respective matches, earning the chance to cash in for championship opportunities at any time.

In a show of dominance, Rollins ascended the ladder in his match, facing off against La Knight, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, El Grande American, and Penta. He received assistance from Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker to manage some fierce competition. Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo tried to back Sikoa but, in a twist, Fatu turned on Sikoa, slamming him through the ladder.

La Knight saw what he thought was a golden opportunity to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase and possibly change the course of his career. Yet Rollins thwarted this attempt, pulling Knight down, slamming him into the ladder before executing a decisive stomp. Rollins ultimately climbed the ladder and secured the briefcase, which marks his second such victory in his career; he was the first to cash in at WrestleMania 31.

Meanwhile, in the women’s division, Naomi received a warning to “go with caution” as she stormed in to claim her victory. To be honest, I didn’t particularly favor anyone in the women’s matches. Naomi, Julia, Roxanne Perez, Lea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Stephanie Vaquer all had good chances. I mean, Vaquer did seem a bit worn out after competing in three matches within a span of 24 hours. One of them included a tag team bout against Lola Vice at Worlds Collide.

Ripley and Bliss were the final two attempting to ascend the ladder, but Naomi interrupted in dramatic fashion. She flipped the ladder, sending Bliss crashing down and sending Ripley flying into another ladder.

In the end, Naomi successfully climbed and seized the briefcase, putting her in contention against either WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton or Women’s World Champion Aiyo Skies, even as she continues her fierce rivalry with Jade Cargill.

This year is shaping up to be quite eventful for both Seth Rollins and Naomi.
