FBI looking for individual suspected of attacking a federal officer during anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles

The FBI is currently searching for individuals involved in an incident during an anti-ICE protest in Los Angeles, where federal officers were assaulted and government property was damaged.

They’re asking for community help, offering rewards of up to $50,000 for information that leads to identifying, arresting, and convicting those responsible.

On a recent Saturday afternoon, around 3:30 PM, one suspect allegedly threw a rock at law enforcement officials on Alondra Blvd in Paramount, California. This act resulted in injuries to federal personnel and damage to official vehicles.

Authorities consider the suspect armed and dangerous.

FBI Director Kash Patel made it clear during a statement that anyone who assaults law enforcement will face consequences. “If you attack a law enforcement officer, you’re going to jail—period,” he emphasized during an interview.

He pointed out that the FBI will step in if local authorities are unable or unwilling to support law enforcement. He reiterated this message on social media, stating that his agency does not require permission to uphold the Constitution.

Patel described the situation in Los Angeles as “under siege” due to protests against deportation and immigration enforcement actions that have been targeting workers from the area.

On another note, Dan Bongino, the FBI’s deputy director, indicated that the agency would pursue all leads related to the assaults on federal officers, emphasizing their commitment to every case, even if not every offender is captured.

In response to the escalating tensions, the Trump administration has mobilized the National Guard in Los Angeles and even considered deploying active-duty Marines to manage the situation.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has strongly criticized this federal intervention, urging the administration to withdraw the National Guard and threatening legal action if it doesn’t comply.

In a bold statement, Newsom claimed that Trump seems to be deliberately escalating the crisis and focused on maintaining peace, urging demonstrators not to fall into traps set by extremists.

Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, also called for an end to the federal deployment in the city.
