Tidal Investments LLC Introduces the Free Markets ETF (FMKT), a Unique Fund Aimed at Companies Gaining from Deregulation

Innovative ETFs Utilize AI Technology for Regulatory Opportunities

New York, June 10, 2025 – Tidal Investments LLC has unveiled the Free Market ETF (Ticker: FMKT), a unique exchange-traded fund designed to target companies that stand to gain from favorable regulatory changes. This fund aims to invest in U.S. equity securities of businesses likely to benefit from trends toward deregulation across various sectors.

The FMKT employs an AI-driven screening process, which pulls from regulatory databases, company applications, and earnings calls to identify firms actively discussing specific opportunities for regulatory relief. This blend of technology is supported by a thorough financial review based on essential metrics.

Michael Gayed, a portfolio manager at Tactical Rotation Management, one of the fund’s sub-advisors, pointed out that federal regulations burden businesses significantly—over $2.1 trillion annually. He noted, “FMKT gives investors a chance to focus on companies that could see value unlocked as regulations loosen.”

The fund benefits from the insights of various professional investment teams, including Sykon Asset Management and Point Bridge Capital, which specialize in understanding the regulatory landscape and its sector-specific impacts.

Hal Lambert, another manager at Point Bridge Capital, expressed anticipation for the future: “By targeting sectors where regulatory costs are high, like healthcare and energy, we hope to find opportunities for better margins and improved operational performance.”

This ETF addresses the heavy regulatory burdens that U.S. companies face, where compliance costs can reach tens of thousands of dollars annually, particularly for manufacturers, who incur averages over $50,000 per employee each year.

The fund’s investment strategy follows a three-stage process: target, score, and build. This method allows the team to create a portfolio of around 30 companies that seem well-positioned to thrive amid regulatory changes. “We’re essentially hoping to harness both current deregulation efforts and future policy shifts,” the team noted.

Additionally, free market ETFs have the flexibility to invest in U.S. stocks across all market sizes and can allocate up to 5% to products offering exposure to Bitcoin or ether—though they do not invest directly in digital assets.
