Michael Jordan Takes a European Vacation

Michael Jordan is clearly enjoying some time off.

The legendary NBA player recently arrived in Europe for a picturesque getaway with his family, which includes his wife Yvette Prieto and their 11-year-old twin daughters, Victoria and Isabel, according to photos obtained by the Post.

Jordan, who is 62, was spotted disembarking from a private jet in a relaxed outfit—faded red T-shirt and floral shorts—while Prieto, who is 12 years younger, chose a white tank top and black sweatpants.

Later, the group transitioned from land to sea. In a sequence captured on film, Jordan was seen on his luxurious yacht, reportedly worth $115 million, enjoying a cigar and, well, just chilling out.

Jordan has a tradition of spending summers in Europe, but he stirred up sports media last month when it was announced that he would join NBC as a special contributor for the network’s NBA coverage in the 2025-26 season.

“The NBA at NBC is a meaningful part of my career, and I am excited to be a special contributor to the project. I look forward to seeing you all when the NBA starts this October,” he mentioned in a statement then.

Though details about Jordan’s role at NBC remain scarce, it seems he will be involved in segments recorded throughout the season, offering analysis during pre- and halftime shows.

In July 2024, the NBA made headlines by signing an 11-year media rights agreement with Amazon Prime and the Walt Disney Company, projected to last through the 2035-36 season.

This offseason has seen NBC assemble a notable line-up for its NBA coverage, bringing in Carmelo Anthony as a studio analyst, with Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller serving as game analysts. Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle will handle play-by-play commentary.

Jordan had an impressive 15-season NBA career, clinching six championships with the Chicago Bulls during the 1990s.

With a total of 14 All-Star appearances and 5 MVP awards, he wrapped up his Hall of Fame career playing for the Wizards before retiring after the 2002-2003 season.

Last but not least, speculation has been rampant regarding Jordan’s NBC salary, with some reports indicating it could be around $40 million annually—a figure that has been characterized as “inaccurate.”
