Sarcastic fashion influencer known for ridiculing Trump and Vance's clothing reveals he’s in the US without legal status, DHS reacts.

A fashion influencer known for mocking Trump’s clothing choices recently shared a surprising revelation about his immigration status. Derek Guy’s candid admission about being undocumented in the U.S. garnered nearly five million views on his post on X, where he also criticized the administration’s deportation policies.

Guy, who has amassed millions of followers on social media, revealed that he arrived in the U.S. as a baby after his parents escaped Vietnam following the Tet Offensive. He noted, “We’re uncertain whether we technically violated immigration laws. The border between Canada and the U.S. was quite lenient back then. But I came here without legal documentation, which classifies me as an undocumented immigrant.”

The impact of being undocumented has significantly influenced his life. He expressed, “The lack of legal status has made dealing with the law intimidating. It has restricted the opportunities available to me. This legal predicament looms over you, casting a shadow that creates emotional challenges.”

His post quickly drew the attention of the Department of Homeland Security, which noted his comments and even shared a curious post of its own. By Wednesday morning, Guy’s revelation had been viewed around 20 million times.

Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance, who is often targeted by fashion critics, responded to calls for Guy’s deportation with a meme featuring actor Jack Nicholson laughing. However, Guy maintained a nonchalant attitude, retorting with a cheeky image of Vance in a tight suit, saying, “I think I can outdo you with these clothes.”
