Many American seniors are anticipating the upcoming Social Security payments, which will be issued next month. To keep everyone updated, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has scheduled the latest payments for June 2025, with checks being sent out on Wednesday, June 11th.
Additionally, the SSA distributes Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and survivor benefits.
Who will receive today’s Social Security benefits on June 11th?
Of the 69.6 million recipients of U.S. retirement, SSDI, or survivor benefits, most receive payments on one of three Wednesdays each month. These scheduled Wednesdays depend on the recipient’s birth date.
Today’s payments are for individuals born between the 1st and 10th of any month. Further checks will be sent out on June 18th and 25th.
June 2025 Wednesday Payment Schedule:
- Wednesday, June 11th: Recipients born from the 1st to the 10th
- Wednesday, June 18th: Recipients born from the 11th to the 20th
- Wednesday, June 25th: Recipients born from the 21st to the 31st
Who will receive checks outside of the three Wednesday schedules?
Americans who began requesting retirement, SSDI, or survivor benefits before May 1997 typically receive their payments on the third day of each month, irrespective of their birth date.
Moreover, beneficiaries of the Supplementary Security Income (SSI) program, designed for low-income individuals over 65 or with disabilities, usually receive their checks on the first of each month.
If you’re applying for SSI or SSA retirement, SSDI, or survivor benefits, the SSI checks tend to be processed first, with the latter arriving third.
Interestingly, since June began on a Sunday, the SSI check for this month was issued early: payments went out on Friday, May 30th.
Recipients outside the Wednesday schedule: June 2025 payments
- Friday, May 30: SSI Recipients
- Tuesday, June 3: Social Security beneficiaries since May 1997
For those receiving both: SSI was paid on May 30th, while Social Security was disbursed on June 3rd.
