Trump cautions Iran about harsher Israeli strikes if a nuclear agreement isn't reached

Trump Warns of Upcoming Israeli Attack on Iran

In a recent social media post, former President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning regarding Israel’s impending actions against Iran, suggesting that the next round of attacks is expected to be “even more cruel.” He urged Iran to halt its nuclear activities.

“We’ve already seen great death and destruction, but there’s still time for this massacre. The upcoming assault will be brutal, and it’s almost here,” Trump stated. He emphasized that Iran should “make a deal while there’s still something left, aside from what used to be the Iranian Empire. Let’s stop the deaths—act before it’s too late.”

Trump also highlighted America’s military strengths, informing Iran that “the United States possesses the most powerful military equipment globally, much of which Israel has—and they know how to use it.”

“Some Iranian leaders might put on a brave face, but they have no idea what’s coming. Their numbers are dwindling, and it’s only going to get worse!” he added.

In a backdrop of increasing tensions, the U.S. and Iran are set to have another round of nuclear talks, scheduled for this weekend in Muscat, Oman. The situation remains complex, as both parties seem far apart on key issues.

There’s uncertainty about how these talks will proceed given the recent military action. Trump suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should give a briefing before any attacks commence.

“I think it could blow up in their faces,” Trump remarked, acknowledging the tension but also recognizing some potential benefits from Israel’s military endeavors. There’s a hint of contradiction in his tone—while he sees hope for diplomatic outcomes, the threat of escalation looms large.

In light of the attacks, Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it clear that the U.S. was not involved, urging Iran to refrain from targeting American interests. Notably, some non-essential embassy staff in Iraq have been evacuated due to growing threats.

Meanwhile, Iran reportedly launched over 100 drones toward Israel, a response intercepted by Israeli forces.

Netanyahu confirmed that the Israeli Defense Forces targeted significant nuclear sites in Iran, including Natanz. Among those killed in the strikes were high-ranking Iranian military officials, including General Hossein Salami, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The initial wave of airstrikes reportedly hit over 100 locations, involving 200 Israeli aircraft deploying a variety of munitions, with operations expected to extend for several days.
