Former NFL player Antonio Brown seems to have pushed back against media coverage as he navigates serious allegations related to an attempted murder stemming from a shooting incident at a boxing event in Miami last month.
On Sunday, Brown shared a striking social media post addressing the media, highlighting supposed claims surrounding a conversation he had with a chatbot. He expressed his disbelief at how the story surrounding him had evolved over time. “How do you go to sacrificing yourself (in an attempt to kill)? You see them in control of the media,” he wrote, referring to the narrative surrounding the events. He continued, noting how it took a month for the story to change, suggesting that it might not be accurately portrayed. He included the hashtags “Black” and “Takedown” to emphasize his point.
The accusations state that Brown allegedly drew a handgun and fired two shots during a confrontation with a man involved in a boxing match, one of which reportedly grazed the victim’s head. If convicted of second-degree murder, he faces hefty fines and potentially up to 15 years in prison. It was last week when Brown shared that there was a warrant issued for his arrest.
Additionally, Brown appeared to react to the warrant news on social media, posting clips that hinted he was in the Middle East, accompanied by a photo from the boxing ring. In a separate note, he stated, “Don’t kill me makes me stronger. Want to play? Then I’ll play hard.”
